Cool and steady spring weather this year led to some of the most beautiful flowering trees I've seen in Illinois maybe ever. Each tree had plenty of time to open up to its fullest flowering potential and the results caused me to stop my car in the middle of the street several times. When I saw this row of apple trees I actually gasped out loud and I knew I had to photograph SOMEONE here. After a little bribery I convinced my girls and my husband to take a walk to these beauties and we spent two hours playing, running, and having the best time under these incredible trees. And I'm so glad we did because just 3 days later the petals were gone and the trees were green.
